These are the staff officer Class A garrison cap that was of a private purchase variation.  Their popular nickname was overseas cap, among other descriptions.  Commonly worn by paratroops and other special type soldiers during WWII.  These are made from wool/poly blend elastique fabric dyed in the dark shade No 51.  They are fully lined with acetate and include a leather sweatband.  Very luxurious.  Sizes run snug.  (Cap patch not included.)
