Trousers, Dungaree, Navy
These are the standard issue style trousers worn by US Navy sailors as part of their work "dungaree" uniform. Sailors wore them both above and below decks as well as while working on shore. They feature the wide legs as with the genuine trousers. It was the sailors who sometimes took their dungaree trousers to local tailors so that they would take in the legs at the knees to give them that popular bell bottom look. They also feature the patch front and rear pockets in the authentic shape located correctly on the front and back of each leg. Each leg is a single piece of domestically sourced rugged denim fabric which omit the exterior side seam. Our trousers are made from authentic indigo denim in the correct weight which wear like iron as did the original trousers yet they are very comfortable when washed and broken in. We use black thread and solid black or dark navy blue solid cast buttons in the authentic shape.
