The United States M1916 holster from World War I and II. A leather holster for carrying the M1911 or M1911A1 .45 cal Pistol. This holster was used in conjunction with the Belt, Pistol, M-1936.  We are proud to be a distributor for the world famous El Paso Saddlery in Texas.  Since 1889, El Paso Saddlery has been producing the world’s finest slings, holsters and gun belts. Only the best leather and hardware go into their products.  Leather is sourced from Herman Oak which is one of America's oldest and finest leather tanneries established in 1881.  Available in the russet shade as shown for a slightly worn look.   Each holster is hand made and specially molded around a dimensionally accurate form of a 45 ACP for the perfect fit.  The "US" embossing on the flap is done using a metal plate that dates back to the 1940s.  Just before WWII General George S Patton himself commissioned El Paso saddlery to custom make leather holsters and belt for his Ivory handled revolvers.  You can now own a piece of history made by the same company that has been making fine quality leathers for over a century.  These are true legacy leather pieces that can handed down as heirlooms.

El Paso saddlery custom makes many leather pieces and customizes even the most standardized items.  The flap of this holster can also be special ordered with "USMC" or "USN" embossing.  Email us with any special requests and we'll look into it for you.
