We
offer the Regulation officer's field shirt in two styles. The
first style (as seen in the photo) is officer's field shirt is made from a blend of wool and
polyester, heather dyed in slighter darker, and authentic, shades of OD
such as found on many original officer's shirt from the WWII time
period. The fabric feels and looks like a higher quality officer's
field shirt. Pocket flaps are completely squared.
The second style is a shirt in a shade of Serge OD 100% wool identical
to the enlisted man's M1937 Flannel shirt. The only visual
difference between the officer's field shirt and the enlisted M1937 shirt is
the addition of shoulder epaulettes. Epaulettes are characteristic
of officer's tailoring and is a military tradition going back in
history. Pocket flaps on this shirt are also notched such as seen
on enlisted shirts.
Thread is authentically dyed 100% mercerized and glazed cotton. Buttons are solid
cast melamine in matching colors.
All wool/poly blend shirts include a satiny acetate lining in the yoke and
collar stand areas for comfort. We even include a stylish maker
label.
Please be aware that our regulation dress shirt patterns run snug in the neck and you
may wish to make sure there is ample neck room when ordering.
Sleeves may be long but your tailor can shorten them by taking up the
sleeve at the shoulder.
Sizes indicated in the drop down menu are the only sizes available.
